Transparency & Legal Report
Privacy Policy
This digital environment, hosted under the Tiwut domain, is a purely private, non-commercial hobbyist endeavor. It serves as a creative portfolio, educational sandbox, and personal hub. We value the sovereignty of your data.
1. Identity & Contact
Responsible for the content: The Tiwut Development Team (Private Individual). For any privacy-related concerns, GDPR requests, or data inquiries, please reach out via: [email protected]
2. Detailed Technology Stack & Data Flow
- Infrastructure (GitHub Pages): This site is statically served. When you visit, your browser sends metadata (IP, User-Agent) to GitHub, Inc. servers. We have no control over their server logs but use them only for the basic function of delivering the site.
- Dynamic Intelligence (Google Gemini API): Our AI simulation (Tiwut AI) acts as a bridge. Your prompts are transmitted to Google Generative AI. By interacting, you acknowledge that your inputs are processed by Google's systems. We do not store your prompts permanently, but Google's own policies apply to the API traffic.
- Analytics (GoatCounter): We chose a privacy-first approach. Unlike traditional trackers, GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and anonymizes your IP. We only see "that someone visited", not "who visited".
- State Persistence (Local Storage): We use client-side storage to remember your UI preferences. This data never leaves your device and is not used for profiling.
Comprehensive Statement on Legal Omissions
CRITICAL NOTICE: This page is not a legally certified document. It is a good-faith disclosure written by a developer, not a legal professional.
The digital landscape is governed by a staggering variety of complex, often contradictory international laws. As a private individual running this site for fun and education, providing a "perfectly compliant" legal notice for every single jurisdiction on Earth is practically impossible. Here is why this document might feel incomplete compared to a billion-dollar corporation's policy:
A. The Financial & Professional Barrier
Ensuring 100% compliance with laws like the GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), LGPD (Brazil), and the various privacy acts of Australia or Canada requires tens of thousands of Euros in legal consultation fees. As a hobby project with zero revenue, hiring an international law firm to audit a personal website is financially unfeasible. This document represents a "best-effort" transparency report using available templates and common sense.
B. The Jurisdictional Paradox
The internet is borderless, but law is territorial. A single person cannot track the daily legislative changes in over 190 countries. While we aim to respect the strictest standards (like the GDPR), we cannot guarantee that we satisfy every obscure regulatory requirement of every specific region. We rely on the principle of "reasonable effort" for a non-commercial entity.
C. Third-Party "Black Box" Operations
We utilize cutting-edge tools like Google Firebase and Google Gemini. While we can explain how we use their APIs, we cannot see into their internal servers. We are reliant on the documentation provided by these tech giants. If their internal data handling policies change, there may be a delay before we are aware of it and can update this notice. We are the users of these tools, not their architects.
D. The Speed of AI Evolution
Tiwut AI is an experimental feature. Legal frameworks for Large Language Models (LLMs) are currently being written by governments as you read this. There is no settled law on many aspects of AI interaction. We operate in a "gray zone" of innovation where technology moves faster than the courtroom. By using these experimental tools, you accept the inherent legal uncertainty of current AI technology.
E. Translation & Linguistic Nuance
This legal notice is provided in English and German. Legal terms are highly sensitive to translation. Small nuances in phrasing can have massive impacts in court. We apologize if any translation leads to ambiguity; the intent is always to be as transparent and user-friendly as possible.
Terms of Use
Usage of Tiwut is granted for personal, non-commercial, and educational purposes. You agree not to use our AI tools to generate illegal, harmful, or copyright-infringing content.
